Dancing with the Stars profile – Dan and Maura Dasho

SAULT STE. MARIE – Hospice of the EUP in Soo Michigan is going to be hosting its first ever Dancing with the Stars event on October 28th, 2011 at the Kewadin Casino Dreammakers theatre. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Kewadin Casino Box office at 635-4917.

Soo Ontario and Michigan dance professionals have come together to help local stars compete for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Local stars are practicing now for the big event. There will also be a Peoples Choice Awarded that evening to the individual who collects the most online votes from Oct. 1st through Oct. 27th at www.euphomehealthhospice.com.

Dan and his wife will be doing a Waltz.

Dan is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cloverland Electric.

Dan and Maura Dasho met on a blind date and have been together ever since. With three out of four of their children grown, and 15 years of service with the Public Service Commission in Wisconsin, Dan went in search of the “perfect job”. Ten years, three moves and two cities later, he and Maura are happy to make Cloverland Electric and the EUP their home. Ballroom dance is a new adventure for them and naturally they are a little nervous. “We’ll be fine” says Maura “as long as nobody puts it on youtube or sends the dvd to our children!” Dan is excited to “electrify” the fans when they dance on the 28th!
