CHIPPEWA County, Michigan-The Chippewa County Health Department (CCHD) was notified that a resident of Chippewa County had a confirmed positive test for COVID-19. Although a resident of the county, this individual has not resided within the county for several weeks. Therefore, the risk to the general comunity is considered to be very low. No further information regarding the individual will be released.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, people should:

• Stay home when sick.
• A void close contact with sick people.
• A void touching their face.
• Disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
• A void shaking hands.
• Follow suggested guidelines for social distancing.
