New coronavirus deaths in Michigan nearly doubled today from Tuesday’s report, increasing by 19, bringing the state to 43 deaths total.
The Department of Health and Human Services also reported today that there were 507 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of statewide cases to 2,295, up from 1,791 on Tuesday.
Detroit and suburban Wayne County combined have 1,122 known COVID-19 cases.
Oakland County has 543 total COVID-19 cases.
