Tune into ESPN 1400 on Monday night from 6-8 p.m., to the Twin Sault’s only local, regional, and national sports show “The Game”. Special guests in the first hour of the show include Kris Dunbar, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner, and Mark Uyl, Michigan High School Athletic Association Executive Director. We will be discussing where the GLIAC stands as far as a possible return to fall sports, and what lies ahead for the upcoming winter sports season, which includes Lake Superior State University. We will also talk about the state of high school sports in the state of Michigan, with COVID-19 and football cancellations, and what might be ahead for the winter sports.
Local sports are covered in the first hour, as we will recap Week 4 in high school football, including Sault High’s bounce back win at home, Pickford remaining unbeaten, and Cedarville and Rudyard capturing victories. We will also discuss high school volleyball, cross country, Lake Superior State athletics and junior hockey with the Soo Greyhounds, Soo Eagles, Soo Thunderbirds, and Soo Indians AAA hockey.
The second hour includes co-host Butch Davis, from Butch On Sports, as he gives our listeners a first-hand account of what is going on in the Metro Detroit scene, including the Red Wings draft last week, as well as the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and other sports across the region. Co-host E.J. Russell, host of The Hot Seat, will join us from Escanaba, Michigan for the round table, as we will discuss Week 5 of the NFL season, MLB playoffs, NBA Finals, college football and much more. We will also have our thumbs up and thumbs down for the week.
