On 10/20/2020 a traffic stop was conducted by a Chippewa County Sheriff’s Deputy at the direction of TRIDENT, the Tri-county Drug ENforcement Team. The vehicle was suspected of trafficking narcotics from the Detroit area to Sault Ste. Marie. Robinson was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was arrested on narcotics charges.
A search warrant was conducted on the vehicle where cocaine, heroin and a scale were located.
Coty James Robinson 29 of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan has been charged with:
Count 1: Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture Buprenorphine (Suboxone)
Count 2: Controlled Substance Delivery/Manufacture possession with intent to deliver heroin
Count 3: Controlled Substance Delivery/Manufacture possession with intent to deliver Cocaine.
In addition to the charges Robinson is a 4th habitual offender and has a 2nd or subsequent offense notice.Mr. Robinson is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
