The Chippewa County Sheriff, Mike Bitnar, has announced his choice for his department’s Officer of the Year. This year’s recognition goes to Corrections Officer Jordan Perry.
Corrections Officer Perry is an 11-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department assigned to the Medical Division inside the correctional facility.
“Jorday Perry has a job most Officers would not want. The job consists of tons of paperwork, dealing with billing, insurance companies our local Health Department and the Hospital,” said Sheriff Bitnar as he praised Perry. “Given the current pandemic situation and in the face of increased risk of exposure, Jordan has performed his duties professionally, consistently and reliably.”
Jordan is married with children He is active in the community and coaches baseball in the Sault. He is a mentor to those children he coaches.
“We are very proud to have Jordan in our office and the community helping the next generation,” continued Sheriff Bitnar. “I would like to thank and present our Officer of the Year to Corrections Officer Jordan Perry!”
