The Sault High Blue Devil girls basketball team improved to 4-0 on Monday night at home, as they knocked off Marquette, 44-33. Lilly Alaspa had 13 points to lead the Blue Devils, while Lilli Kelgar added 10. The Blue Devils will be in action on Tuesday as they take on the Brimley Bays at the Sault High Gymnasium. You can hear that game on 1230 WSOO, with Dave Watson and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 7:00 p.m.
On Tuesday night there will be four other games involving Eastern Upper Peninsula teams in girls’ basketball. Rudyard is at DeTour, Cedarville travels to Newberry, Cheboygan is at St. Ignace, and Engadine hosts Manistique.
St. Ignace improved to 2-1 in boys’ basketball on Monday night, as they earned a 63-53 Straits Area Conference win at Newberry.
On Tuesday night, Brimley is at Pickford, Cheboygan visits St. Ignace, while Engadine is at Manistique.
