Over the weekend Bradley Hall (left) and Deven Ellison (right) went to Charlevoix to compete in the individual regional tournament. Both wrestlers had very successful days as they both won their way to the finals in their respective weight classes.
Hall got a huge semi-finals match win to put him into the finals, as well as securing his spot at the state tournament, winning 6-0.
Hall earned his 100th career win as a high school wrestler. Hall is ranked second in the state in the 103 lb weight class. His current record is 110-16.
Ellison is your regional champ at 119lbs making him the youngest wrestler from Rudyard to win a regional title. In doing so Deven had to beat the wrestler who had previously beat him at districts the week before, defeating him 15-9 in the finals.
Both wrestlers will be competing in the state tournament down at Ford Field on March 1st and 2nd.
