The Cedarville Trojans swept a varsity basketball double header on Wednesday night at the John Duncan Gymnasium. The Trojan boys’ basketball team improved to 7-5 on the season, as they cruised over the Eagles, 71-33. Cedarville will start district play on Thursday, as they will face Pickford in a semifinal. You can hear that game on the EUP Game of the Week, with Scott Nason, starting with the pregame show at 5:45 p.m. Engadine (2-10) will be at home for their district final on Thursday as they will take on Newberry at 7:00 p.m.
The Trojan girls’ basketball team defeated Engadine, 62-26. Cedarville (9-2) is at Mackinaw City on Thursday night. Engadine (4-9) is at Gaylord St. Marys on Thursday.
In boys’ basketball on Thursday night, the Sault High Blue Devils are at Brimley. You can hear that game on 1230 WSOO, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show around 7:00 p.m. Pickford is at Munising on Thursday.
In girls’ basketball on Thursday night, Sault High is at Newberry and Engadine visits Rudyard.
The Sault High hockey team will play their regional semifinal on Thursday in Tawas, as they face the Alpena. You can hear that game on 1230 WSOO with Dave Watson, starting with the pregame show at 4:45 p.m. If the Sault High hockey game hasn’t ended before the Blue Devil boys basketball game begins, the start of that game will be on ESPN 1400.
