SAULT STE MARIE, MI — A trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Sault Ste Marie Post was involved in an on-duty crash with another vehicle near 3 Mile Road and M-129 Highway in Soo Township.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:50pm on March 24, 2021. The trooper was responding to a hold-up alarm at a local government building. While en route, the trooper was hit by another vehicle attempting to turn into a private driveway.
The trooper was treated for non-life=threatening injuries at War Memorial Hospital. The occupants of the other vehicle were treated and released at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
