Soo Fire Dept was called to the 1500 block of Ryan St. Monday evening for a garage fire at 9:51pm. By the time firefighters arrived on-scene the fire had spread to the unattached residence on the property as well as had done heat damage to the exterior of a neighboring residence. The fire was completely extinguished at 10:30pm at cleared the scene at 11:51pm. No one was injured during this incident which remains under investigation. Another fire was reported around 7 AM Sunday morning on the corner of Riverside and Nicolet in Soo Township. Two passersby saw a fire outside the house on the porch and ran in and got the occupant out of the house.
The fire is under investigation.
