Ronald “Ron” Peter Poliski, age 88, of Hulbert, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, in Manistique.
Ron was born on January 16, 1933, to the late Andrew and Mary (Keszenia) Poliski in Sault Ste. Marie. He enlisted in the Navy and served as a seaman on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CV-42) during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #3676. Ron loved hunting small game, fishing, and enjoyed keeping a meticulous lawn. Ron also enjoyed watching the Red Wings and Detroit Lions.
Ron is survived by his special lady friend, Cathy Baker, of Hulbert; his daughter: Brenda (Rob) Arbic of Sault Ste. Marie; his
grandchildren: Michael (Stacey Beard) Arbic; Ashley (Damon) Anderson; and Mathew (Kaitlin) Arbic; and five great-grandchildren: Owen, Viola, Annalyn, Danika, and Andi.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Helen Neal, Anne Harwood Charles, Walter, Nicholas, Paul and Benjamin.
A private graveside service with veteran’s honors will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Riverside Cemetery.
