Genevieve LuElla Smith, age 51, of Kinross, Michigan, died on June 24, 2021, at her home. She was born on January 2, 1970, in Jellico, Tennessee, to John Denver Smith and LuElla Mae (Nedeau) Brown.
Genevieve grew up in Tennessee until she was about fifteen when her family moved to Detroit, Michigan. She attended Witley County High School before she moved up to the U.P to spend the rest of her life. She later met Makhal and had her son Marcel and continued her life in the U.P.
Genevieve enjoyed watching TV, playing games on her computer, and spending time with Marcel.
Genevieve is survived by her son Marcel Mekhal Menas of Kinross; siblings, Patricia (Von) Arrington of Detroit, Johnny Smith of Kinross, Joseph Smith of Tennessee, Edgar Smith of Tennessee, and Jacquelyn Nedeau of Westland, Michigan.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, John D. Smith Jr.
No services are planned at this time.
