Hayley Anne Smith

Hayley Anne Smith, 27, a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.  

” Your life was a blessing, your memory is a treasure.   You were loved beyond words and you will be missed beyond measure.” 

Born on October 14, 1993, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, she was a daughter of “Tom” and Jody (Cartwright) Smith. Hayley graduated from Soo High in the class of 2011. While in school she enjoyed art and photography and carried these passions till today. She also loved animals, especially dogs. Hayley was most recently employed at Lume. 

Survivors include her parents Tom and Jody Smith of Sault Ste, Marie, MI, her sister Ashley Paul of Sault Ste, Marie, MI, and her maternal grandparents William and Kathleen Cartwright also of Sault Ste. Marie, her Uncles William “Uncle Bubba” (Jennifer) Cartwright of Bellaire, MI and Matthew “Uncle Matt” Smith of Traverse City, MI, she was beloved “T.T.” to nieces Zelda, Iva, Eden and Lilly. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents R.B. and Grace (Parr) Smith.  

Cremation services have already been accorded.  A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
