Carl Frederick Ygeal, age 45, of Pickford, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly September 5, 2021, in Kincheloe, Michigan. He was born on May 28, 1976, to Leo Frederick Ygeal and Elizabeth “Betty” Lou Edington.
Carl grew up in Pickford and graduated from Pickford High School, class of 1995. After graduation, Carl went on to work for Northwoods Christian Camp, as well as driving the bus for the Pickford school system while also attending his classes for EMT and Firefighting. Carl also worked for Robinson Fence Company for a few years as well as logging with Chuck Newell. Most recently he had worked for the local NAPA auto parts store.
Carl was a passionate and adventurous spirit. He was dedicated and loved by all who knew him. He loved to be in the outdoors—hunting, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and fishing. He had just started learning woodworking as well. He had many passions and naturally made friends everywhere he went. He leaves behind many who will miss him.
Carl is survived by his mother, Betty of Pickford; sister, Shannon (Joseph) Lawlor of Rudyard, Michigan; grandmother, Norma Raynard; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and his uncle.
Carl was preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Raynard; grandfather, Bill Raynard, and sister, Rachel.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Galer Funeral Homes & Cremation, 24549 S M-129 in Pickford. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
