Gerald Branham, age 82, of St. Ignace, Michigan, died October 17, 2021, at Mackinac Straits Hospital. He was born on February 22, 1939, in Carp River, Michigan, to parents Alfred and Gladys Katherine (Nichols) Branham.
Gerald spent his adolescence in St. Ignace and attended LaSalle High School. After graduation, he spent four years with the United States Army. When he returned home, he worked for the State of Michigan before finding work as a union carpenter. He was talented at his trade and showed great passionate for his work.
Gerald was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, and the Carpenter Union.
Gerald enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing, as well as trying his luck at the casino. He loved eating at the local Burger King and getting his “usual”.
Gerald is survived by his sister, Delores (Jack) Bosley of St. Ignace; brother, Alfred Jr. (Pat) Branham of Grand Rapids, Michigan; dear friend, Bill Adams of St. Ignace; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; twin-brother, Harold; brothers, Edwin and Ronald; and sisters, Mary and Sharon.
