Linda Ann Marrison

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Linda Ann Marrison, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A friend to all whose lives she touched. On October 19, 2021, she peacefully left us surrounded by her family at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. She was 74 years old.

Linda was born and raised in Big Rapids, Michigan. To Bernard and Betty Jane Akom. She was a graduate of Big Rapids School system and went to Ferris State University where she majored in Business and Real Estate.

Linda started her career as a telephone operator. She then found a passion for family business. She owned many different businesses, but her passion was party rentals and working with brides. She also enjoyed cooking and wrote and published four different cookbooks.

Linda and her husband Lonnie moved to the Eastern Upper Peninsula and made Pickford there home. They started Biz-E-Bee Party Rentals and enjoyed all the people they worked with.

Linda also loved to sew and do crafts including woodworking. She sold her creations at many different craft events. In her free time, she loved to read and tend to her garden. Which allowed her to spend time on her backhoe, lawnmower. She also loved the peacefulness of her home and enjoyed the beauty of nature.

Family was very important to Linda, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, stepchildren, many grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband, Lonnie; daughter, Betsy (Tim) Coffey; stepdaughter, Jessalynn (Michael) Penland; stepsons, Lawrence (Tina) Marrison, Michael (Katie) Jeffson, and James Marrison; grandchildren, Amellia (Dillon) Gardner, Ashley Coffey, Alethea-Jade Coffey, April (Sherrick) White, Jake (Jorien) Newberry, Alyssa Marrison, Wesley Penland, Mick Jeffson, Autumn Jeffson, and Macy Jeffson; plus four great-grandchildren and one on the way; and brother, Ron (Patricia) Akom.

A Graveside Service will be held on October 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at N. Raber Cemetery in Raber, MI.
