Lorri Anne Brown passed away October 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer.
Lorri was born in Sault Ste Marie, MI on February 12, 1966, to Leroy and Nancy Bumstead. She graduated from Sault Area High School in 1984 and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Michigan University.
Lorri married Patrick Brown on July 27, 1990, and they made their home in Pickford, MI where they raised their four children.
Lorri taught Elementary School at Rudyard Area Schools for 30 years where she touched countless lives. She retired in 2020. Lorri also served as President of the Pickford Board of Education for many years.
Lorri is survived by her husband: Pat; her children: Cortnie (Joshua) Parish of Howell, MI, Kelsie (Benjamin) Eckola, and Madison Brown and Isaac Brown both of Pickford, MI; and grandchildren: Adelyn and Leo Parish. She is also survived by her mother: Nancy Bumstead; her siblings: Dejay (Sherri) Bumstead, Jill (Bill) Celestino, and Jody (Lisa) Bumstead; and her mother-in-law: Glenda Brown.
She was predeceased by her father: Leroy Bumstead and her father-in-law: Duane (Barney) Brown. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021, at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home with Pastor Scout Hester officiating. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects starting at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Hospice of the EUP.
