Betty Marie Izzard, age 88, of Cedarville, Michigan passed away on November 4, 2021. She was born on April 5, 1933, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Andrew and Mary Markstrom.
Betty grew up in Cedarville and graduated from Les Cheneaux School in 1951. She married Herman G Izzard on March 14, 1953, and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. She was a lifelong member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Cedarville.
Betty loved to travel and visit Lighthouse’s especially her favorite Whitefish Point. She also enjoyed playing bingo and was a lifetime Trojan fan – going to games with her nephew Conard Izzard was a favorite pastime.
Betty is survived by her two children Darlene A. Muscoe and Mark M. Izzard and one grandson Brent D. Izzard. She is also survived by a dear family friend Karolyn Nordquist, four brothers, John, Charlie, Gust and Jim.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herman G. Izzard, son-in-law Paul W. Muscoe, sister Jennie A. Markstrom, brother Louis (Shirley) Markstrom.
No services will be held. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery in Cedarville.
