George Felix Marra

George Felix Marra, 89, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away at War Memorial Hospital on October 31, 2021.

George was born on April 30, 1932, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late Leonard and Nancy (Clement) Marra.  He graduated from Sault High School with the class of 1950.  On Sept. 20, 1951, he married Joyce Whitehead at the St. James Church.  George was a member of a brass horn band.  He also played the bass fiddle.  He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge, and a lifetime member of the Christopher Columbus Hall. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and coaching local hockey teams. George was also a fan of the Detroit Redwings, he enjoyed meeting for coffee with good friends &  Frank. He loved getting together with his children & grandchildren always looked forward to the Marra barbecues at his house.

George is survived by his children: George (Lori) Marra, Jr. Sebring, FL, Danny (Janet) Marra of Kincheloe, MI, and Timmy Marra of Soo MI; five grandchildren: Nathan (Erin) Matthew(Debra)Jason(Misty)Curtis(Ashley)and Danika; and seven great grandchildren: Destiny,Mason,Grace,Brent,Riley,Korbin,Kyleeann,Kacielyn,Aubrey,Gavin. He is also survived his siblings: Samuel and Mike Marra.

George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandson: Brandon Marra, and brothers: Louie Marra, Frank Marra and John Marra .

Cremation has already taken place; no public services will be held at this time.
