Bernice Frances Sage, 87, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away on December 19, 2021.
Bernice was born on February 25, 1934, in Pickford, Michigan to the late Robert Earl and Isabella Frances (Steele) Thompson. She was a member of the Algonquin United Methodist Church. Bernice loved her children and grandchildren. She like spending time at the casino and watching game shows. She had a great sense of humor. Her true gift, was taking care of people and helping others.
Bernice is survived by her children: Dan Shea of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, David Shea of NY, Jim (Kim) Shea of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Tony (Lori) McKerchie of Sault Ste. Marie, MI: grandchildren Tammy, Pam, Rayleen, Rachel, Cora, Jamie, Amanda, Stewart, Kayleen and Jenna; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Bernice is also survived by her siblings: Sonja (Hank) Ford, Tom (Nancy) Madison, Dan (Luanne) Owaski and Gayle Smith.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Francis James Sage whom she married in 1978 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI; children: Mike Shea, Kathy (Ray) Thorne, and James William Shea: siblings: Phyllis (Shorty) Beacom, Bob (Glendelon) Thompson, Billy Thomson, Imogene (Fran) Allen, and Roger (Janice) Madison
