Shelly always made people laugh and smile. She had the most infectious laugh of any human being you ever met. We wish we could see her one more time come walking through the door, but we know that isn’t possible. We will hear her voice and laugh no more. We know she can feel our tears and that she doesn’t want us to cry, yet our hearts are broken as to why someone so precious had to die.
We pray that the Creator will give us strength and somehow get us through as we struggle with the heartache this loss has brought to us. Everyone who knew Shelly, loved her. She loved to visit with her family and friends and tell a joke to make you blush a time or two. She loved to tell stories and spend time with her grandkids. She had endless love for her children and grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Any time there was a community event, Shelly always made the time to volunteer. She was especially known for her fry bread. Shelly loved to shop at the thrift stores and yard sales. Goodwill, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent were her favorite stores. She also spent her fair share of time with her sister Ronda at the casino.
A special thank you to War Memorial Med Surg Nursing Staff and especially Dr. Ockenfels for their support during a very difficult time. Also, thank you to everyone for the prayers and thoughts for Shelly and our family while she battled Covid in the hospital.
