SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Thursday that its member club, the Soo Eagles, will play a pair of exhibition contests this weekend against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).
Game 1 of the two-game set goes Friday and features a 7:30 p.m. start at Pullar Stadium in Sault. Ste. Marie, Mich., while Game 2 is slated for 5 p.m. Saturday, also at the same venue.
With both sides being U.S.-based clubs, in their respective leagues, the two teams are eligible to compete against each other as there are presently no health organization limitations in Michigan, despite the current restrictions in place in Ontario that have the two leagues on a three-week hiatus.
The two match-ups are scheduled to be aired live, via HockeyTV.com.
