SAULT STE MARIE, MI – Preschool Storytime is not currently being offered at the library. However, families are welcome to bring their toys and friends to utilize the space in the library for play, storytime, study areas, and more. Be sure to ask for the weekly “make-n-take” craft, too!
Every Tuesday at 2PM, the library screens films for their Movie Matinee program. Film selections can be viewed inside the library. Be advised that not all movie choices are family films, so please use your best judgment when deciding whether to bring children.
The Winter Farmer’s Market continues to be offered every Saturday from 10AM to 12:30PM in the Community Room.
On March 12th at 10AM, the library will host Rachel Keys – an artist and library patron – as she leads a shoe painting craft. This program is open to adults and children 10 years of age or older. Attendees have two options for supplies: they can either bring in their own shoes (which must be canvas and light in color), or pay a registration fee of $5 so the library can purchase shoes for them. Please be aware that space is very limited, so registration is required.
The programming for the Great Michigan Read will begin this month. On March 29th at 7PM, join your fellow bookworms to participate in a book discussion on The Women of the Copper Country by Mary Doria Russell. Light refreshments will be available.
All of the events listed above are free and open to the public. Should you have any questions, contact the library at (906) 632-9331.
