The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Monday that forward Seth Ferguson of the Soo Eagles has been named its Eastlink TV 3 Star of the Week for the period ending February 6.
A five-point weekend for Ferguson helped the Eagles go unbeaten and move into a tie for the third-best winning percentage in the league at .750, while also going a NOJHL-best 8-2-0-0 in their past 10 games played.
A 19-year-old native of Brighton, Mich., Ferguson began his productive week with a two-tally effort Friday in a shutout win over visiting Powassan.
He than provided a trio of assists Saturday, in a come from behind decision in Blind River.
His season so far has seen Ferguson provide six multi-point contests.
