Joseph “Joe” Henry Brown

Joseph “Joe” Henry Brown, age 62, of Kincheloe, Michigan, died on November 28, 2021, in Bloomingdale, Michigan. He was born on May 5, 1959, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Benjamin Louis and Marian Isabell-Bernice (McKelvie) Brown.

Joe grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended the special education program at Sault Area Schools and later at Traverse City Area Schools. As Joe was mentally handicap, doctors informed the family Joe would not see his 4th birthday. While beating the doctors’ odds, he was taken care of by his mother and father for most of his life. In the last ten years, Joe has part of the Adult Foster Care Families around Michigan and recently was at Cornerstone in Bloomingdale.

Joe loved bicycles. He would take a bike apart and try to put it back together. He was a happy and loving minded man and loved his family with all he had.

Joe is survived by his siblings, Sharon Ollado of Sugar Island, Michigan, Francis (Ellen) Brown of Germany, Nancy Caldwell of Sault Ste. Marie, Patricia Brown of Sault Ste. Marie, Edward Brown of Sault Ste. Marie, and Debbie (Jimmy) Brown of South Boardman, Michigan; and sister-in-law, Joann Brown of Sault Ste. Marie; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by siblings, Benjamin Brown, Sandra Green, Diane Hamlan, Franklin Brown, Johnny Brown; and brother-in-law, Eugene Ollado.

No services will be held at this time.

Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Sault Ste. Marie.
