Michigan State Police Troopers from the St. Ignace Post are investigating a fatal snowmobile crash that took place Tuesday afternoon in Moran Township of Mackinac County.
A snowmobile driven by Dean Daggett, a 60-year-old male from Kenockee, Michigan was southbound on Schoolhouse Rd when it came around a blind curve and collided with a logging truck. Mr Daggett was the lone occupant on the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the logging truck was not injured.
State Police were assisted by the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Dept, St. Ignace Fire, Hendrick’s EMS, and Straits EMS. The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol and speed are unknown factors at this time.
