SAULT STE. MARIE — The Sault Ste. Marie boys basketball team picked up another conference win, defeating Newberry, 82-37, on Monday at home.
The Blue Devils and Indians were tied at 12 late in the first quarter, but Sault Ste. Marie pulled away the rest of the game, outscoring their opponent, 70-25, after that.
Sault Ste. Marie improves to 3-2 in conference play and will look to keep it going on the road against St. Ignace on Friday. Newberry is now 0-5 in conference play and will play at home against Cedarville-DeTour on Wednesday.
