Bette M. Baker, born December 14, 1923, in Detroit, Michigan, of Saint Ignace, Michigan, (formerly of the Wayland, Michigan area) died Saturday, February 26, 2022, of natural causes.
She is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Henry) Kanar and Sonia (Phil) Hines, daughters, Yvonne Holmberg, Christine (Darryl) Carlson, Stephanie Thompson, Linda (James) Kumler, Lisa (Gary) Bigelow, Susan (Gary) Bush, Kim (Patrick) Gill, and Georgene (Mark) Jackson; as well as 80 additional descendants.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Edward V. Wisniewski and George C. Baker; sons-in-law, David Holmberg and Jerry Thompson; and foster family, John and Mildred Gurney
A Memorial Mass will be offered at Immaculate Conception Church in Moran, Michigan, on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Francis J. Ricca presiding.
Another Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Therese Parish in Wayland, Michigan. Date will be announced later. Bette asks for your prayers. Burial of cremains in Moran, Michigan.
