Lorie Lynn Hart

Lifelong Michigan resident, Lorie Lynn Hart, 55, of Sault Ste Maire, died of Complications of Covid-19 January 4th, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Lorie was born June 25th, 1966, in Flint then grew up in Hillman and settled in Sault Ste Marie. Lorie is the daughter of late Mark Anthony and Elizabeth (Jones) Soik, Lorie married Jerry Hart on May 16, 1999, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Jerry will miss Lorie’s hugs, but Lorie will always remain in his heart. Lorie’s daughter Amber will always cherish the memories of her mother.

Lorie was employed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Lorie also worked at the Kewadin Casino. Back in 1980’s Lori also worked at Mariah’s Restaurants in Sault Ste. Marie. Lorie enjoyed gaming, singing, card playing and being outside.

In addition to her parents, Lorie is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Andy Slater and a niece Sharon.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry, of Sault Ste Marie; daughter Amber Mae of Sault Ste Marie; brother Mark Soik (Shelia) of Hillman; brother Philip Soik (Tammy) of Hillman; sister Elizabeth Slater (Soik) of Hillman and a niece Tiffany Soik and nephew Austin Soik. Lorie’s lifelong friend from high school Laura whom Lorie cherished.

At this time there will be no funeral.
