Todd Alan Casteel, age 63, of Drummond Island, Michigan, died unexpectedly at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey on March 11, 2022. He was born on January 2, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan, to Edward Casteel and Edna Brown.
After high school, Todd went to work at several sawmills—he loved cutting wood. He also worked at the Bonnely Horse Farm for many years and loved it there. He moved to Drummond Island five years ago where he made many great friends and enjoyed his island life.
Todd loved going out fishing and hunting. He enjoyed motorcycling and taking his side-by-side out in the summer and snowmobiling during the winter months. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved everything to do with animals.
Todd is survived by his brother, Ken Teachout of Drummond Island; sisters, Debbie Horn of Sunfield, Michigan, Pam (Teachout) Ferguson of Sunfield and Penny Carpenter of Vermontville, Michigan; and good friend, Kurt McDiarmid of Drummond Island.
Todd is preceded in death by his father, Edward Casteel; mother, Edna (Robert) Brown and brother, Brian Casteel.
