Judy Kay Webb, age 70, died at her home in Newberry, Michigan, on March 12, 2022. She was born in Newberry on July 27, 1951, to Willard and Joyce (Nelson) Kibbey.
Judy grew up in Newberry and graduate from Newberry High School. She married Michael Douglas Webb on August 11, 1966, and started a family. She was a stay-at-home mother while Mike worked at the Newberry State Hospital. Eventually, she started working as a cook in 1990 at Zelar’s Village Inn, where she worked for 25 years and later retired in 2015.
Judy was a member of Newberry’s Christian Fellowship.
Judy had many hobbies that she enjoyed doing like crocheting, attending church, singing, spending time with family and especially taking her daughters to go shopping.
Judy is survived by her husband, Michael Douglas Webb; daughters, Machelle Laverty of Newberry, Bethany Webb of Newberry, Sarah Webb of Newberry, and Ashley Thurman (Jason) of Newberry; son, Michael Webb of Newberry; sisters, Linda Kibbey of Washington and Lola Kibbey of Newberry; brother, Ralph Warren of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan; grandchildren, Danielle Levin, Katrina Webb, Kenny Caldwell, Caitlyn Canfield, Nicole McNamara, Jessica McNamara, Maddelyn McNamara and Christopher Webb; and great grandchild, Emily Levin.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jake Warren and Willard Kibbey; brother-in-laws, Chet Webb, Lester Webb, Jim Webb, and Roy Webb; and sister-in-law, Betty Stack.
