DETROIT – The Detroit Lions officially announced their schedule for the 2022 season on Thursday night.
The team is set to play nine home games and eight road contests this year.
The Lions will kick off the season at Ford Field against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. with their bye week set for Week 6 after an away meeting with the New England Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m.
Detroit’s annual Thanksgiving Day game will see the Lions host the Buffalo Bills at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. The Lions will ring in the new year with a home contest against the Chicago Bears on Jan. 1, 2023.
The Lions are set to close out their regular season on the road against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, Jan. 7 or Sunday, Jan. 8.
