Philip McKay, age 54, of Lakeland Fl passed away July 3rd in his home.
Philip was born October 27th 1967, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The son of the late Findlay and Leore McKay. Phil graduated from Sault Area High School in 1985 where he was elected as class president. He worked at the Soo Co-op grocery store and the International Bridge before moving to Florida to help take care of His mother, Leore. He loved music and had quite the cd collection. Phil loved to make people laugh and was always the “life of the party”. He will always be remembered for his big smile and wonderful sense of humor.
Philip is survived by his sisters: Michele (Roy) Parr of Neebish Island, Michigan, Kelly (James) Bindschadler of Winter Haven, Florida and brother: Ken (Donna) McKay of Auburndale, Florida and many nieces and nephews that adored him.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents Findlay and Leore McKay.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022, at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.
