Rodney Frank Sadler

Rodney Frank Sadler, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning July 2nd, 2022 at Hospice of the EUP.

Born in Flint, Michigan, on November 21, 1950 to Gilbert and Dorothy Sadler. Rod was a graduate of Powers Catholic High School and also a graduate of Mott College.    

Upon graduation he started his career as a Respiratory Therapist.
He left working in the Healthcare Industry and moved to Sault Ste. Marie to be with family. Rod made the Sault his home. He worked at Sadler Motors as the Finance Manager and was also a Licensed Broker in Real Estate.

Rod loved the water and spending time on his boat with family and friends was his passion. He became a Certified Boat Captain and was a Volunteer for the Department of Homeland Security United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a life member of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society.

Rod was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert; mother, Dorothy; and beloved brother, Rick. He is survived by his cherished daughter Staci Sadler of Florida, a treasured Sister-in-law Vicki Sadler, Florida, and special niece and nephew Jennifer and Stephen Sadler, also of Florida. Also his lifelong and dear friends Mike Bruce and Randy Ratzlaff.

Rod was a friend to many and will be missed by all. An intimate Celebration of Life will be held privately on Mackinac Island with family.
