Ronald Paul Goetz

Ronald Paul Goetz Sr., age 60, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Ronald was born on December 24, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to the late Cecil and Barbara (Handziak) Goetz. He was a graduate of Sault High School, with the class of 1980.  Ronald served in the United States Navy on the USS Bigelow.  He was a member of the Sault Tribe. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, brother and nephews looking for any opportunity to get out to the course. He enjoyed watching Nascar cheering for Kevin Harvick, and watching the New York Jets and Detroit Tigers. He loved spending time with his dog: Bailey looking for any opportunity to spoil her.

Ronald is survived by his son: Ronald Goetz Jr. of Potterville, MI; Ronald is also survived by his siblings: Lori (Dean) Sibbald of Two Rivers, WI, Greg Goetz of Brimley, MI, Joel Goetz of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Kevin Goetz of Marquette, MI; and a few nieces and many nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Michelle Elliott.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday August 8th on the Catholic side of Riverside Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter.
