Isabel June Case, age 101, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Hospice House of the EUP with her husband at her side.
June was born on June 7, 1921 to George and Helen (Ludwick) Carroll in Three Rivers, MI. She attended the Three Rivers High School, and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree with the first graduating class of the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. June became a “Jesus follower” at the age of 15. On September 2, 1951, she married LeRoy Case in Chesterfield, New Jersey.
June worked as a teller at the Citizen’s State Bank in Rudyard, MI, and was the Cook Supervisor at the Chippewa County Jail for 12 years. She was a passionate musician, and after college she traveled all over the country singing and playing piano with a Christian quartet. June loved cooking and baking, and cherished family gatherings.
June is survived by her husband of 71 years: LeRoy Case; four children: Linda (Michael) Bays of Ft. Myers, FL, Rodney (Randaline) Case of Brimley, MI, Douglas (Laura) Case of Kalamazoo, MI, and Jeffrey (Dorothy) Case of Rudyard, MI; twelve grandchildren: Michael (Leslie), Melissa (Michael), Megan (Brian), Benjamin (Heather), Nathaniel (Melissa), Dana (Joshua), Matthew (Allison), Joel (Carrie), Jeffery (Jill), David, Lindsay (David), and Melanie (Kieron); 45 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. June is also survived by four sisters: Harriet Geren, Betty Francis, Bess Hartz, and Mary Woods all of Trenton, NJ.
June was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: John Carroll.
Funeral Services for June will be held at the Brimley Congregational Church on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. with her husband, LeRoy and son, Rod officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Kinross Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Samaritan’s Purse.
