SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State University cross country and track and field programs are set to host the inaugural and Thanksgiving themed Sault Strut 5K on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. with all proceeds going directly to support the travel and gear for the men’s and women’s cross country and track teams at LSSU. The cost of entry is $20, but the price will increase after Monday, Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.
The course is flat and fast while being mostly on a bike path with the start/finish area taking place on the indoor track inside the Norris Center on the campus of LSSU. Packet pickup will only be available on the morning of the race near the start/finish area inside the Norris Center beginning at 7 a.m. A limited amount of t-shirts will be available for sale on a first come first serve basis on the day of the race, but they will not be included in the race entry fee. Additionally, hot chocolate and coffee will be available, and live results will be done by Superior Timing.
