Margaret “Peggy” Louise Garland, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Hospice of the EUP – Hospice House.
Peggy was born on September 6, 1935, to Walter and Louella (Syer) Andrews in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. On February 20, 1965, she married Gerald Garland in Arkansas. Peggy worked various jobs and was very industrious. She raised her family well, enjoyed sewing, and was faithful to do everything that needed to be done.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Gerald; her children: Kevin (Brenda) Garland of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Carol Garland of Tennessee, and Deborah Garland and Mike Garland both of Arkansas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister: Lil (Don) Bowerman of Bruce Township, MI; and her brother: Gordon (Olivine) Andrews of Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Ruby Russell and Ann Lessard, and her brothers: Bob Andrews and Bert Andrews.
According to Peggy’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
