Pauline Cecilia Salomon

Our dear mother Pauline C. Salomon, 86, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away peacefully Tuesday September 27, 2022 at My Michigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. She was born August 4, 1936 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Edward and Nell (Gagnon) Parady.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Sault Ste. Marie where she lived. Pauline loved spending time with family and friends. She loved the outdoors and would take any opportunity to bask in the sun, either reading a book or watching the river traffic from her home near the St. Mary’s River.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Edward G. Salomon and Bernard S. (Jillian) Salomon; daughter, Elaine (Sean) Wood Salomon; sister, Dorothy Rose; brother, Jack Parady; grandchildren, Willie (Mara) Soden, Phillip Salomon, Amanda (Troy) Rexing, Payton Salomon, and Logan (Jake) Swedberg; bonus grandchildren, Andrea Burton, Jordan Burton, Madison Mayer, Joelle Mayer, and Alex Mayer; great grandchildren, Stela Soden, Presley Soden, Ivan Rexing, Walter Rexing, Eleanor Rexing, Tilia Swedberg, and Beaux Mayer; many nieces and nephews , including her niece Terry Ferroni with whom she shared a special bond; many special friends, including the staff at Medilodge who became more like family.

Visitation will be Monday October 17, 2022 from 11:00am until time of the Funeral Mass at 12noon at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral Catholic Church in the Mary Room, 377 Maple St. Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783, with Father Nicholas Thompson officiating. Procession to Oaklawn Chapel Gardens following mass. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
