(Sault Ste. Marie, MI) – The children’s Brick Building Club continues this month. The club will
meet on Saturday, November 5 th , and Saturday, November 19th, both days from 10AM until 3PM.
In celebration of National Novel Writing Month, the library is hosting a collaborative novel
writing session this month. This program is intended for any interested adult writers, as well as
those who would like to participate but are unable to write alone. The group will meet weekly
every Tuesday in November at 7PM inside of the library.
The LSSU Aquaculture Club will host an informational program on aquaponics on Thursday,
November 3 rd at 7PM. If you are interested in learning about the aquaponic growing process or
have questions, we encourage you to attend.
The Winter Farmer’s Market is kicking off on Saturday, November 5 th at 10AM inside of the
library. The market will be at the library every Saturday from 10AM to 12:30PM. Come and
support your local farmers, artisans, bakers, and artists.
Beverly McBride, local writer, will host a beginning writer’s workshop on Thursday, November
10 th at 6:30PM. This workshop will cover topics such as structure and organization, vocabulary,
and publication.
Bayliss Library will host an open mic night on Thursday, November 17 th at 6PM. This event is
open to the public and all writers, songwriters, rappers, and other artists are encouraged to share
their artistry.
The library is hosting its first ever Cooking Around the World program on Saturday, November
26 th . We are looking for ten volunteers to sign up and bring a dish in to share with the public (as
samples). We especially encourage you to sign up if you have lived in other countries, cook other
cuisines, are of a different ethnic background, or even have recipes passed down through your
family. You may call or come in to the library to sign up. Anyone interested in coming to sample
the food does not need to sign up – only those who plan to bring a dish.
