Carolyn Jean Ayers passed away peacefully on November 15th 2022, in her home.
Carolyn was born June 23rd, 1932, the daughter of Orlando Pingatore and Mary (Perry) Pingatore. Carolyn graduated from Loretto High School in 1950. She attended the College of St Theresa in Winnona Minnesota where she earned a degree in medical Technology. Upon Graduating, she married the love of her life William Ayers on May 15th, 1954. Together they had 11 children. Together with Bill they started the family accounting practice in 1956. Carolyn continued working in the practice for the next 61 years, even after Bill’s passing in 1979. Being a woman of strong faith, Carolyn raised their 10 children through the grace of God. She enjoyed her daily prayers. Many will remember her as a coach’s wife. She enjoyed making quilts for each grandchild for their high school graduations. She was a member of St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral and the Christopher Columbus Auxiliary.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: William Mark, Brothers: Eugene (Marie) Pingatore, Perry (Beverly) Pingatore, and Landy (Diane) Pingatore.
Surviving is her only sister: Sylvia (Patrick) Wood, Her Children: William (Sue) Ayers, Geralyn (late Michael) Kane, Mary (Bill) Davidson, Bernadette (Scott) Parker, David Ayers, Jacquelyn (Daniel) DeBruler, Maureen (Todd) Miller, Donald (Shannon) Ayers, Symantha (late Wayne) Morley, and Douglas (Esther) Ayers. Also surviving are 39 Grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn’s Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19 at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral with Father Jack Loughran as celebrant. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until the mass begins. The burial will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.
