Just prior to 10:30 Sunday morning, fire departments were dispatched to a home on 10 Mile Rd in Dafter for a report of a house on fire. Upon arriving, fire trucks experienced icy conditions and difficulty in getting some trucks in position to fight the fire.
There were several residents in the home when the fire broke out, but they all escaped safely.
The house has sustained extensive damage and will likely be a total loss. Firefighters remained on the scene to battle burning areas they couldn’t reach through the roof.
We will publish more information when it becomes available.
