SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Aaron Osmond (Cheltenham, U.K.) and Maddie Whip (Sydney, Australia) enter the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Singles Rankings at No. 67 and No. 59, respectively.
Osmond has led the men’s team as their No. 1 singles hand so far this season, with his most impressive win coming against Tiffin’s Ruben Fonga who is currently ranked as the fourth best singles player in NCAA Division II in their first dual match of the season in the Soo which resulted in him being named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Whip, the reigning GLIAC Women’s Tennis Freshman of the Year, currently boasts a 5-3 singles record, including a victory over No. 5 Indianapolis’ Anna Novikova, who was the third-ranked player in the Midwest Region at the time, at the IUPUI Fall Invitational.
