This past Wednesday, June 14 th , Central Savings Bank held its 12 th Annual Road to Recovery Burger Bash.
The Directors, Officers and staff, along with staff from MyMichigan Health Center Sault, came together
to serve over 500 hamburgers and about 100 hot dogs with chips, cookies, bottle water and lemonade
to Sault and the surrounding area residents. The cost for the meal is by donation and has been from the
start.
“This year, we raised just shy of $7,500 after everything was said and done. Last year, which was the
most raised was $9,006.35, with 2021 bringing in a little over $8,100. Since the start of the Burger
Bashes, we have collected and donated about $80,500,” stated Andrea Masters, CSB’s Marketing
Director.
The program transports cancer patients for free down to Petoskey for treatments they might otherwise
skip due to the cost of traveling or lack of transportation, is completely run by donations and volunteers.
MyMichigan has two vans that run 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. “It’s a pleasure to work with an
organization that has such a large impact that helps so many in the communities we serve and helping
this great program is just one example of that, “says Mark Savoie, CEO & President of CSB.
Be sure to ask what the CSB Family can do for you! We are holding our What Matters to Our
