NEWBERRY, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $4.3 million to resurface about 6 miles of M-28 from east of Raco to M-221 in Superior Township, Chippewa County. Work includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, guardrail, and pavement markings.
The project is scheduled to begin July 5, 2023 and end Oct 13, 2023. Motorists should expect daytime lane closures using traffic regulators. A lane restriction of 10 feet will be in place during the project.
This project will indirectly support 52 jobs.
