SAULT STE. MARIE, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes
Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Jacob Tyler Dumas 21, for child sexually abusive activity – aggravated, possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
Dumas was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was learned Dumas was
viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in
digital evidence being seized.
Dumas was charged with ten counts of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated possession and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Dumas was arraigned in the 91 st District Court on July 2.
If convicted, Dumas faces up to 25 years in prison for the child sexually abusive activity – aggravated
possession and 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
