Ishpeming, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against
Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Timothy Paul Romback, 57, for child sexually
abusive activity – aggravated and using a computer to commit a crime.
Romback was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was learned Romback was viewing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Romback was charged with 10 counts of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated and 10 counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Romback was arraigned in the 96 th District Court on July 22.
If convicted, Romback faces up to 25 years in prison for the child sexually abusive activity – aggravated and 20 years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
