On Sunday, a motorcycle and a pickup collided near the entrance to Walmart on the I-75 Business Spur. The collision left the motorcyclist in critical, but stable condition in Petoskey.
According to Sault Ste Marie Police, the southbound pickup truck collided with the northbound motorcycle when the truck was turning left into the store’s parking lot.
The accident caused the northbound lane of the Business Spur to be closed for some time and northbound traffic was re-routed at the roundabout to avoid the scene. It was fully reopened to traffic later on Sunday.
The accident remains under investigation.
