The Sault High Varsity and Junior Varsity football teams celebrated their graduating seniors, reflected on their seasons and focused on dedication and resilience at their recent banquet. While neither team had a winning record this season, the coaching staff identified strengths of each team, emphasized the growth that occurred, and encouraged hard work to be put in during the off season in an effort to come out stronger next fall. Each player was acknowledged at the banquet, and there were a number of athletes that received special recognition.
On the JV team, the Offensive Co-MVPs were sophomores Mack Kavanaugh and Keigan Brandt. Defensive MVP was awarded to freshman captain Dane Armentrout. Most Improved went to sophomore Ryker Medrick and the Coaches Award was given to freshman Isaac Peabody. Special recognition was given to sophomores Dean Roe, Brady Rondeau, Griffin Greeley, and freshman Carter Erickson.
On Varsity, senior Cale Bell was named both Team MVP and Defensive MVP. Bell shared the Offensive MVP Award with senior Evan Kennedy. Most Improved went to juniors Andrew Kabelman and Aidan Salo.
